A must climb if you are in the area. Castle Rock’s sandstone boulders are awesomely smooth with many sloper type of climbs. The guidebook compares CRB with Fotainebeleau which makes sense… just not as many climbs. Totally worth a stop when traveling through.
Dr. D and I were psyched to be taken out by Craig Phares who showed us around on his backyard circuit. SoCal seems to never disappoint! We climbed some world class problems in the middle of just another boulder sprinkled hillside near Hemet. It is great to realize how much potential and actually unclimbed rock there is everywhere around us. A lot of of these rocks have not seen many hands on them. Here you can see Craig stylin one of the warm up climbs
Our amazing bivy at the base of El Gran Trono Blanco, Preparing for a challenging climb. The spirits of cañon Tajo were with us on this beautiful night. Ready for another life changing experience. Thanks for all the support @kovacsan11 @shepherdimagesllc and for roping up on our first adventure @cannonjtc
We cannot express enough how happy we are to be able teach rock climbing as a full time profession. Our guides are passionate climbers who rather participate in a climbing lifestyle over practicing a hobby. Our life (for many parts) is rock climbing! And exactly that keeps us going out again and again to teach these awesome vertical skills… over and over. It never gets boring thanks to the many different programs that are in demand. From top rope climbing, advanced anchoring and lead climbing to guided multi-pitch climbs and rescuing classes… The smiles of our clients and the happiness that is created on our outings… That’s what keeps us fresh and motivated to guide. Can’t wait to see you out on the cliffsThis photo was taken by @troydoney Please check out his feed… He has got some awesome photography to show.
