Description

Full moon night climbing is an epic experience! Discover the vastness and beauty of the desert from a higher perspective and activate all your adventure spirit on this unique climbing experience. Of all places, Joshua Tree offers one of the most beautiful clear night skies. Whether if it is star gazing or watching the full moon rise, beauty can be seen everywhere. Warm summer nights in the desert are perfect to cool off from the heat of the day, calling all nocturnal adventurers. Get in touch with your senses by learning different ways of using them. It is amazing to see how quickly our body can adapt to different conditions. Trust your touch an be guided and coached through more difficult parts of the climb.

“Stepping out of your comfort zone” has a huge benefit and increases brain function when shifting focus from using one sense to another. Us humans often tend to be fixated on certain ways of doing certain things. Adopting such habits let us forget about different approaches that may offer a better and more valuable solution to a problem. The same can be applied to night climbing where the element of light is taken away to a high percentage. Many climbers report to be more focused because of paying more attention to “how things feel” compared to just visually looking for a foot and handhold. The “bubble effect” is another phenomena that night climbers report. A situation where the light of a headlamp creates a bubble around the climber, letting her forget about the epic exposure and other environmental factors around.

No experience required! The park’s many rock faces offer a variety of difficulty levels great for beginner to advanced climbers. Bring an adventurous spirit for a new experience… even if this is your first rock climb in your life.
