@jeffbergstedt on the infamous upper part of "Toe Jam, 5.7" in Joshua Tree National Park. This route lies right above Hidden Valley Campground and gets first sunlight in the morning.Topping out on this makes you realize that the bolted rappelling anchors are far to the right (40feet). We have seen a fair amount of climber's topping out and going straight (right) for the anchors.Key is to first place a solid directional, eventually even two pieces (equalized) and then move right to the anchor for belay.Who has spent time at "Climbers's Coffee" watching the show go down – the Toe Jam mega pendulum?… Special thanks to @jtreebee @joshuatrefriends @joshuatreenps who have consistently made an effort to bring our climbing community together and provide a valuable resource for education and social interaction amongst climbers….#chillinorockclimbing #rockclimbing #joshuatree #guide #guiding #climbing_pictures_of_instagram #sandiego #optoutside #neverstopexploring #jtree
