Good technique is key to good and smooth climbing. This one is a "step through" performed by Felix on his first rock climb. He is twisting his hips and steps his right leg underneath his left (cross). His left leg is almost fully extended and allows him to gracefully walk his right foot through.This is a nice way to reach your next foothold without having to match your feet or shuffle them over in caterpillar style. Remember!!! Rock climbing is mostly about using your lower body = legs, footwork. Your arms are holding you just in! Look down twice as much as you look up. Reminding yourself to do this will improve your technique much quicker.
