Sport climbing in Germany!

Frankenjura is one of the most popular areas for hard routes on limestone. Most routes are entirely bolted and many of us climbers have heard about this area because of “Action Directe” – known as the hardest climb on this planet in the 90’s. It took Wolfgang Güllich many years to establish the first free ascend. It was not repeated until a few years later! It is extremely short and extremely hard with many mono pockets and entirely overhanging at its cruxes. Climbers also learned that Güllich specifically developed the campus board training in order to prepare for this route. Nowadays this training method is inevitable for climbers that want to push their high-end grades. Great times on the rock. Here trying really hard
